We’re creating a book, The Field Guide to the Commons—and need your recommendations of good articles and artwork.

The State of the Commons is an introduction to the commons and its distinct dynamics. As joint owners of a wide variety of common assets, we believe that we have an obligation to do what any responsible owner should do: conduct an audit. Take inventory of the assets that belong to us, and assess their value and how well they are being managed. "Download":media/pdf/original/stateofthecommons.pdf Also available in Spanish. The commons is all around us, even if we don't have the words to describe it. But actions speak louder than words.
Global trade rules are threatening family farms and local economies in developing nations. Now farmers are fighting back with a new vision of global food sovereignty.
